Dear Collaborators,

Greetings from WHO Headquarters!

I am pleased to invite you to join us for the upcoming WHO WEBINAR ON
BONE HEALTH AND OSTEOPOROSIS, taking place on 25 OCTOBER 2024 at 15:00
CET.  This event will be held in conjunction with the United Nations

International Day of Older Persons [1 [1]], themed _”Aging with Dignity:

The Importance of Strengthening Care and Support Systems for Older
Persons Worldwide.”___

Osteoporosis and fragility fractures are significant global health
threats, quietly affecting millions and contributing to rising
healthcare costs and disability, particularly in aging populations. This
webinar will highlight CUTTING-EDGE PUBLIC HEALTH STRATEGIES for
combatting osteoporosis and will explore how proactive measures can
prevent and treat this silent disease. We aim to ILLUMINATE THE PATH for
countries to adopt innovative approaches that can reduce the global
burden of osteoporosis.

The webinar will focus on HARNESSING GLOBAL WISDOM by sharing best
practices from countries that have successfully implemented NATIONAL
FRACTURE REGISTRIES. These registries have proven effective in improving
fracture monitoring and treatment coverage, and the event will provide
valuable insights for other nations seeking to adopt similar
evidence-based strategies.

Your participation in this event would be incredibly valuable, and I
encourage you to join us. Please register via the following link:

Warm regards,
